1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Rudi Poppes, the developer of QuoteHue, handles information in the QuoteHue app, on this website and when you contact support. It does not cover the privacy practices of Apple or another app or service you choose to use.
2. Information in the app
You may enter business and recipient details, work-site information, measurements, prices, terms, comments and photos. QuoteHue stores this information in the app's private storage on your device. The developer does not receive it and cannot view or recover it.
QuoteHue does not contain advertising, third-party analytics, tracking software or a developer-operated network service. Data processed only on your device is not collected by the developer.
3. Camera, photos and contacts
QuoteHue uses Apple system features only after you choose the related action:
- Camera and LiDAR: to take measurement photos or measure indoor surfaces on supported devices.
- Photo picker: to import only the photos you select.
- Contact picker: to copy only the contact you select into a quote draft.
Imported information is stored with the rest of your local QuoteHue data. You can deny or later change camera access in iOS Settings and continue using manual measurements.
4. PDFs and sharing
QuoteHue creates customer PDFs on your device. A PDF leaves QuoteHue only when you choose a destination through Apple's share or save controls. Once shared or saved outside QuoteHue, that copy is managed by you, the recipient and the destination service. Deleting it in QuoteHue does not delete copies stored elsewhere.
5. Purchases
Apple processes App Store purchases. QuoteHue does not receive or store your payment-card details. Apple's handling of purchase and account information is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
6. This website
This website has no advertising, analytics, tracking scripts, cookies or contact form. Like any website, its hosting and network providers may process basic technical information, such as an IP address and browser details, as needed to deliver and protect the site. QuoteHue does not use that information to identify visitors or build profiles.
7. Support correspondence
If you email for support, you choose what information to provide. Contact details, the message and related correspondence are used only to respond, investigate the issue, keep a reasonable support record or meet legal obligations. They are not sold or used for advertising.
Support correspondence is kept only while reasonably needed for those purposes. You may ask for access, correction or deletion. Email may be processed by Apple's iCloud mail service in countries where Apple operates.
8. Retention and deletion
App data remains on your device until you delete it in QuoteHue or remove the app. QuoteHue has no server copy to retain or delete. PDFs and other copies you saved or shared outside the app must be removed from those locations separately.
9. Security
QuoteHue uses private app storage and iOS data-protection features. You remain responsible for protecting access to your device and any PDFs you share or save. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
10. Children
QuoteHue is a professional work app and is not directed to children. The developer does not knowingly collect children's personal information through the app or this website.
11. Questions or complaints
Contact Rudi Poppes by email. Privacy questions or complaints will be reviewed and answered directly. If a correction or deletion request concerns information held in support correspondence, please describe the message or issue so it can be located.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy will be updated if QuoteHue's information handling changes. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
